It was held in the late hours of July 15 just before Victoria was again plunged into lockdown due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak.
Despite the number of sheep that withdrew from the competition early or couldn't make it into Victoria, judge Danny Teskera said the winners were of exceptional quality and would have stood up regardless if there was a handful of sheep or if there would have been 600 competing.
"The championship animals are as good as the breed has in the country, and congratulations to those exhibitors who put all the effort into making it what it was."
More than 60 sheep were competing with three states of Dorper breeders being represented from NSW, Victoria and Tasmania.
Burrawang Shotgun 201047 was the junior and national grand champion Dorper ram from Burrawang that went all the way to take the Dorper Sheep Society of Australia (DSSA) national supreme Dorper exhibit sash and overall show supreme.
The DSSA national supreme White Dorper exhibit went to the grand champion White Dorper ram Burrawang Budweiser 200107.
Senior champion White Dorper Ram was Burrawang Fosters 190525 and senior champion Dorper ram was Burrawang Bedrock 191247.
In the ewe section, junior and grand champion Dorper ewe, Awyuna 200008, was presented to 15-year-old first-time exhibitor Huon McIntosh of Awyuna Dorpers, Wyuna, Vic.
A well-deserved win after his time and effort in preparing his sheep as well as his parents 20 strong show team.
Judge Mr Teskera said she was an impressive animal.
"this is a really high quality ewe, full of meat that carries herself well, congratulations to the breeder".
Senior champion ewe and reserve junior ewe went to Huon's parents Brad and Danielle McIntosh of Bradan Dorpers Wyuna, Vic and reserve senior went to Olsen Park stud, Koondrook, Vic.
White Dorper senior and grand champion ewe went to Fiona and Mark Pearse of Edwillang stud, Ballarat, Vic.
Most successful White Dorper exhibitor was, of course, Burrawang stud.
