This Scenic Park In Florida Will Make You Feel Like You're In A Real Life Narnia

Relax and unwind in nature at the Hillsborough River State Park.
Contributor

There are some places in Florida that make us believe in miracles and this park has become one of Tampa local's favorite. Hillsborough River State Park is one of the most popular locations to workout, unwind, and relax.

The park is located just minutes from Downtown Tampa and it features 7 miles of trails to escape the city for a few hours. Besides walking and exploring the wildlife at this park, visitors can enjoy activities such as canoeing or kayaking in class II river rapids. River rapids are very unusual in Florida and this is what makes this park so special.

You can go camping, hiking, horseback riding, paddlings, swimming, picnicking, and even host a wedding.

Many people come to this park for photo shoots and outdoor activities. The park's amenities make it easier for visitors to enjoy the ecosystem. There are campgrounds, laundry, campfire circles, concession and restaurant, shower station, swimming pool, and other amenities.

The park has an upcoming event called "Dinner Under the Stars" on April 20th where you can dine like a 1830s military officer inside the walls of Historic Fort Foster. No matter what time of the year you come, the trails will lead you amazing panoramic views. You can visit the park daily from 8 am until sundown. There is a fee of $6 per vehicle. Currently, the park is also offering tours of Historic Fort Foster every Thursday at 10:30 am.

Hillsborough River State Park is located at 15402 US 301 N. Thonotosassa, FL 33592.
