According to the data, travellers have deemed Radium Hot Springs to be the friendliest place in Canada.

Editor's Choice: Canada's Top 20 Friendliest Places Were Just Revealed & They're Spread Out All Over

Here’s what you need to know about Radium Hot Springs

Radium Hot Springs, often referred to as Radium for short, is a small town with a population of 776, according to its most recent census

It's located in the East Kootenay region of B.C. and is known for having relaxing natural hot spring

While the town is tiny, it's surrounded by endless beauty and there are tons of trails to explore if you love to hike.

The town is about a 15-minute drive from Invermere where you'll find a beautiful lake and even more trails for hiking and mountain biking.

While both places are bustling in the summer, they're much quieter in the winter.

Which other BC places made the list?

The top 20 friendliest places in Canada, according to Expedia travellers, include a total of five B.C. towns and cities.

Of course, Radium landed in the first place. Next in line was Whistler which was ranked in the 11th spot.

Right behind Whistler was Osoyoos in 12th, followed by Nanaimo in 14th and Fernie in the last spot at number 20.

If you've ever had the pleasure of visiting these places, you know this list rings true. If you're making a B.C. bucket list, you should probably add the five places mentioned above to ensure you're heading to the friendliest places possible.

How were these places ranked?

Expedia travellers rate their experiences in everything from hotels to actual places.

"Did a local provide an outstanding dinner recommendation? Were you greeted with smiles and hellos (or at least smiling eyes over a mask)? Was there just overall feel-good energy?"

"These might be some of the random acts of friendliness that earned these cities and towns the highest mentions of 'friendly, friendliest, amiable,'" Expedia said in an email sent to Narcity.

This list is based on reviews from January 2019 to December 2020.

Not only have these destinations received rave reviews in the past, but Expedia says that they are being searched for future travel plans, as well.

Time to start dreaming about your next Canadian road trip.
