Catherine Letarte & Maxime Bernier's Beach Wedding Pic Is Dreamy
Beach weddings are definitely not for everyone but it's easy to be envious of a happy couple professing their love for each other on a sandy beach. That sentiment extends even for politicians. For example, Catherine Letarte and Maxime Bernier's Florida beach wedding is so dreamy. Ah, love under the sun!
Letarte and Bernier got married on June 27, 2019, after more than 10 years of dating and a brief, four-month engagement.
The two are probably still basking in the newlywed bliss as they only got married just a few months ago and that sentiment is written all over their faces in the adorable wedding photo that Bernier shared on his social media.
According to TVA Nouvelles, the couple got married in June on Captiva Island which is in southwestern Florida.
They got engaged in February of this year, announcing it on Twitter with a picture of the two in the snow which couldn't be any more different than what their beach wedding would be only a few months later.
They are both from Quebec but are different in what they do for work.
Letarte is a pretty private person, there's not much to find about her online expect that she runs a non-profit for mental health support and is a trained ballerina.
In a HuffPost profile on Bernier in 2017, she said that she doesn't like being in the spotlight but she's accepted it because of what Bernier's line of work is.
And she's surely been in the spotlight more now that she's married to a man who is vying to be the next Prime Minister.
Letarte first laid eyes on Bernier more than 10 years ago at a bar but it wasn't until a few months later at a singles brunch when she asked the politician out on a date.
Now, all these years later, Letarte and Bernier are married.
