6 Natural Hot Springs Where You Can Wash Away The Work Week In BC

I'm already relaxed just thinking about them!
Staff Writer

On a crisp day, nothing feels better than taking a nice hot bath. But, have you ever taken a dip in a natural hot spring? These public swimming spots are amazing and there are literally tons all around B.C. They are the perfect place to warm up with a friend or a significant other and recharge after a hectic workweek. Part of our job here at Narcity is to be your acting tour guide so we came up with 6 natural hot springs in B.C. that you need to try.

B.C. in the fall is literally breathtaking. While the leaves are changing, temperatures are also dropping. Don’t let this scare you, though. B.C. winters are nothing compared to the Snowtember storm Alberta got recently.

Working five days a week can be super stressful. From healing sore joints to easing the mind, these natural bodies of water have a powerful way of relaxing you and pulling you back into your centre.

These hot spring baths are perfect and can be surrounded by anything from lush foliage to waterfalls and wildlife. Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway or a quick day trip to relax, these natural hot spring are the best.

Hot Springs Cove

Where: Tofino

Why You Need To Go: Tofino is one of the coolest places on earth so naturally, we had to include it on this list. To get to the hot spring, head to the Maquinna Provincial Park and hike the 1.5 km boardwalk. There are tidal pools, cooling off sections, and all the hot steam you need to forget about your worries.

Keyhole Hot Springs

Where: Whistler

Why You Need To Go: A close second in our hearts is Whistler. This hot spring is all over social media, so chances are you have seen it before. Go for the photo-op and a warm dip in a beautiful setting.

Lussier Hot Springs

Where: Whiteswan Provincial Park

Why You Need To Go: This quiet spot is seriously gorgeous. The water does get hot, so dunking into the ice-cold creek right afterwards can feel amazing.

Harrison Hot Springs

Where: Harrison Lake in the Fraser Valley

Why You Need To Go: This natural hot spring is great because it is just a short two-hour drive from Vancouver which means you can hit it up on your day off.

Liard River Hot Springs

Where: Liard River Hot Springs Provincial Park

Why You Need To Go: This is Canada’s second-largest hot spring, so you need to go. Temperatures in the pool vary from 108 to 126 F, so you might not want to linger for too long.

Halcyon Hot Springs

Where: Nakusp

Why You Need To Go: If you’re looking for a hot spring with healing remedies then this one is for you. These waters can help provide relief from gout, arthritis, and osteoporosis. Not to mention, you can feel the street melt away when you step foot into the water.

If you're in need of a little stress-free break from reality, these hot springs will be the key to melting away any worries.
