OVERVIEW
Palm Beach is a pristine 2km beach (see pic :)) that will be ruined by this development in particular, it will add to the already existing massive erosion issues we are fighting at Palm Beach but will also be a complete eyesore! The proposed building is for 177 room high-rise aged high-care facility. The reasons we oppose this building include:

1. Non-compliance: current zoning laws per Gold Coast Council Town Plan 2016 – EXCEEDS height (current planning allows 7 levels for a building, they are seeking c. 14 levels), site size and number of rooms permitted.

2. Non-residential development: on prime residential beach front property.

3. Environmental impact: further pressure on beachfront erosion issues and unacceptable shadows casts for beach users including tourists.

4. Increased strain: on parking availability due to influx of residents, staff and visitors.

5. Increased excessive traffic congestion: leading to unacceptable delays on main highway.

6. Increased pressure on local infrastructure: water, sewerage, waste etc.

7. Invasion of privacy: neighbouring properties - 19th Ave Apartments and Pacific SLSC.

USE OF FUNDS
The money will be used for legal advice, social media marketing, flyers etc. whatever is required to let everyone know about this issue and how they can show their support by lodging an objection.

3. Select ‘Have your say on a development application’ and then select again

4. Type in application number 201800196

5. Grounds of submission (examples below)
