Configuring Advanced Settings
In the Advanced Settings menu, you can configure all the options for the Gigaset
SX762 WLAN dsl. If required, you can also change the settings you made using the wiz-
ard. The following table contains the options available in this menu.

Description
This menu comprises all the setting options relating to the
Internet. In particular, you can do the following:
Check and change the configuration for Internet access

(page 50) or specify a preferred DNS server (page 52),
Configure the firewall, i.e. a number of security and special
u
functions, for example access control from local PCs to the
Internet,
Make the NAT settings required to provide your own serv-
u
ices on the Internet (page 57),
Set up routing for your Internet connection services
u
(page 62),
Set up dynamic DNS for a fixed Internet address on the
u
device (page 61).
You can change the
WLAN dsl here and make settings on the DHCP server
(page 64).
You can configure the options for wireless communication
(SSID and encryption) here and restrict access to the Gigaset
SX762 WLAN dsl (page 67).
You can make the settings for Internet telephony (VoIP) here
and configure your extensions (page 76).
You can make the settings here for operating an external data
carrier, a file server or a print server on the USB port (page 85).
You can make or change various system settings here, for
example assign a password (page 96).
In addition, you can also back up the data on the Gigaset SX762
WLAN dsl or load new firmware (page 97).
