What has been seen cannot be unseen!

We are all charmed and mesmerized with the beauty of perfectly crafted content, decorated with the words that we even don't know it exists, until you check out dictionary.

If you are in this realm, using any kind of generative AI tools in your daily life, you might have already started to pick up the patterns of AI generated material when you read an article, or see a visual, like the ones in this article :)

What has been seen cannot be unseen!

You know what I am talking about. Either it is too good to be written by a human, or an image with soft edges, or has clumsy mistakes like 6 fingers on one hand, and so on.. ( which will disappear over the time for sure BTW)

Here comes my dilemma, I started to pick up those patterns, and now I cannot think anything but to figure out the authenticity. Because how would you qualify if something good or bad once everyone starts to use AI for many sort of things in our daily life? As you would agree, to our perception, it all looks good, even perfect.

You might say, why does it bothers you that much, as long as you get what you are looking for. On one hand, I agree with you, on the other hand, it started to grow a hollow gap inside me. AI crafted unique combination of the words, or bits to generate something will not be a differentiator once everyone starts using it.

Potentially in near future, artificial general intelligence (AGI) will be addressing this by self-learning. It will develop its own thoughts that it has not been trained for. This would be interesting to see...
