The first thing you need to know about Belleville is that it is the “city”. If you are looking for a city experience around here Belleville is it. Belleville is where most people go for grocery shopping, clothes shopping, winners and home sense shopping. Side note, there’s a new bigger Winners in the Quinte Mall now and it’s awesome. And yes Belleville is where the mall is. The Quinte Mall is the main mall with stores like Chapters, Winners and Sport Check. Why do you need to know that Belleville is considered the city around here? Well, the population of Belleville is about 53 thousand. So with that being said, things like Costco, a variety of nightclubs and other kinds of things are not available in Belleville.
The second thing you need to know about Belleville is it is growing, a lot. Belleville has been growing year over year with more and more people moving to Belleville. This means more and more amenities are coming to Belleville and more and more people. Meaning that the Belleville you move into today may not be the same Belleville in ten years. This is not uncommon in many places. So why is it notable? It’s notable because of the rapid growth Belleville has seen over the last couple of years.
Onto number three, Belleville is right on the 401 which means, it’s super easy to get onto the Highway and head to Kingston or Toronto. This is great if you are someone looking for a quieter city but still working in Toronto or Kingston. It will not take you a half hour to get onto the 401. At almost any spot in Belleville, you can get onto the 401 within 10 or so minutes.
Number four, Belleville is right on the Bay of Quinte. This means if you enjoy water sports or the outdoors in general the scenery in Belleville is beautiful to take in. There are so many different sports to take a walk enjoy nature and enjoy a day on or by the water.
The last thing you need to know about Belleville before moving here is there is always something to do in Belleville. Zwick’s Park in Belleville has many different festivals and events that go on throughout the year and Downtown Belleville puts on events throughout the year so there may not be a lot of nightclubs, or big box shopping but there are so many events that you can participate in enjoying the city.
