A spermatocele is a fluid-filled sac or cyst. It develops on the epididymis, the small tube that stores and transports semen from the testicles. Most spermatoceles don't need treatment. They generally don't cause pain or complications. Spermatoceles can affect people at any age, but they commonly appear in midlife (the 40s or 50s). On ultrasound, spermatoceles are well-defined epididymal hypoechoic lesions usually measuring 1-2 cm and demonstrating posterior acoustic enhancement. #Ultrasound #Testis #Spermatocele #Epididymis
