A year has FLOWN since our Dragons' Den episode aired... But the life-changing moment really happened 20 months ago during filming. Imagine preparing to pitch your beloved business to five of the UK’s most esteemed investors (and eventually the rest of the world). The thought alone is enough to induce stress 😰 Now, imagine having only FIVE DAYS to prepare… Not much of a heads up! Thanks BBC Studios 😂 Unsurprisingly, I PANICKED. For anyone, but particularly for those juggling ADHD and anxiety, sudden news like this can be indescribably overwhelming… I pulled out of filming not once… not twice… but THREE times… Only to commit the day before - I just couldn’t bring myself to let Teddie and Levi down. Navigating through the intense stress of those five days, And eventually building up the courage to go on the show, I transitioned from the realm of safety into fear and discomfort… And THAT is where growth happens!! Alex Hormozi, speaking on Steven Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO, put it succinctly: “You don't become confident by shouting affirmations in the mirror, but by having a stack of undeniable proof that you are who you say you are.” On that pivotal filming day, I amassed the undeniable proof I needed. I emerged, truly seeing myself as the formidable entrepreneur I believed I could be. The journey to getting there was filled with obstacles, And, yes, I still frequently experience days of self-doubt. But I now have this powerful moment to look back on… A reminder that I've conquered daunting challenges before, And I’m fully capable of doing so again 👊 💭 What steps are you taking to build your stack of evidence?
