This is the football game we used to play all the time in the 90s

Okay, the later Sensi games are better than this one (mostly in difficulty matters), but since it's the first game of the series it holds a special place in my heart! We've spent endless hours with my close friends every Friday-Saturday nights playing till 3 am... This game (and the series in general) is more than a classic. And still beats any soccer game 'till now.

Sensible World of Soccer 96/97 might be the better game, but v.1.1 was the one I had when I was young, so I remember it more fondly. I often played it with my siblings. Those hour-long soccer session were some of the most exciting multiplayer experiences I ever had.

I just dont understand how people can have fun with SS for more than a few hours. After playing a few games you easily beat every team in the competition. After a few hours more you with with Faroer Islands 5-0 against Brazil. Its much to easy to learn, in long- and even mid-term Kick off II is the much better game.

Creat game. Infact my version is 1.2. My brother used to cheat in this game. Everytime he played against some one who hadn't played this game before he gave a joystick to another player but actually he played alone against computer. And Won

What I love the most in this game are those varied chantings of supporters. I missed them in SWOS. It was also too easy to score a goal when you know how to do it. However for me this is still the best footie on Amiga.

It's a very good game, but in my opinion this is an arcade soccer game.
If you like less arcade and more simulation try Goal.

Sheer genius. The ONLY thing more fun was the Amiga Power England V Germany disc where the ball was a grenade. Untouchable playability, even today, nothing can touch the Amiga version. The AC Milan side with Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard, Jean Pierre Papin, Lentini and Maldini is still the most awesome side ever assembled, even more so than my beloved Arsenal. One of the best games ever, hell, the playability benchmark by which GTA Vice City was judged!

Simply the best. Sensible Soccer isn't the most realistic take on the sport. Perhaps it feels more like a table soccer than the real thing. But that's besides the point. The point is Sensi Soccer has the idea of playability, more so than in any other game I have played on any system. The playability fuses with your spine. You don't need to think how to control the players. You feel it. You know where they are, when to control them and how to control them. It's almost like a symbiotic relationship between you and Amiga

This was one of the first versions for the amiga... Not the same as the newer 95/96 or 96/97.. In this game it was still 1992/1993 and the chaps at Sensible software was still learning... You can see that the games in this genre or "Sensible" genre is getting better and better with improved design for every year... The crowning is ofcourse the Sensible World of Soccer 96/97 and the last they did... But this game has it's charm anyway! You can play the cups, national or European teams aswell.... Classic.
Another thing is the goalkeepers and players ability. Goalkeepers in this early version was still not so skilled and good.. And the players didn´t had so good ability to keep the ball at his feet.... This is the difference between all Sensible games. 96/97 version is a masterpiece in it's own.. Both gameplay, ballplay and how players react.... This version was still.... Well new at the time! Enjoy anyway
