Jurors have reached a verdict in the case of a University of Arizona freshman accused of stabbing her roommate to death in the dorm room they shared.

Jurors found Galareka Harrison guilty of first-degree murder, three counts of forgery and guilty of taking an identity of another person.

Galareka Harrison was charged with first-degree murder in the death of fellow Navajo tribe member Mia Henderson.

Harrison allegedly stabbed Henderson 23 times.

Harrisons lawyer told the jury Thursday there was not enough proof to return a conviction for first-degree murder, but a prosecutor told them there was overwhelming evidence of premediation.
