George Clooney makes his way through LAX Airport to catch a departing flight on Monday (July 25) in Los Angeles.

The 50-year-old actor recently told Marie Claire magazine why he was drawn to charity work in Sudan in 2005.

“I had just come out of Oscar season, and you really do campaign, like kissing babies,” he said (via L.A. Times). “By the time it’s over, you sort of feel unclean. You want to do something that makes you feel better.”

“There is more attention on celebrity than ever – and there is a use for that besides selling products,” he added. “We can’t make policy, but we can ‘encourage’ politicians more than ever before.”

George Clooney shields his face from photographers’ flashbulbs while leaving a restaurant on Thursday (July 21) in Studio City, Calif.

The day before, the 50-year-old actor went for a ride on his motorcycle.

Justin Timerlake and Mila Kunis recently chatted about their Friends with Benefits characters calling out George as a playboy who’s “emotionally unavailable.”

“I’m pretty sure George Clooney, when he gets in his boat in Lake Como, and comes out of his house in Lake Como, will be okay with it,” Justin told Fox411. “No, Clooney put on a huge benefit for Haiti, so I’m pretty sure he is emotionally available.”

Late last month, a rep for George confirmed that he and Elisabetta Canalis were splitting.

The 50-year-old actor’s Ides of March co-star, Ryan Gosling, recently chatted about falling for one of George‘s pranks.

“He will come up to you and tell you something very serious, and then you walk away and you realize your pants are wet. He’s had like an Evian spray bottle. He’s been spraying your crotch the whole time,” Ryan told Extra.

George is currently working on his next project, the sci-fi thriller Gravity, opposite Sandra Bullock.

“I was pretty stressed out. My doctor wrote me a prescription and said do a comedy, so I did, and I do feel better,” he shared.

George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis have split after a two-year romance.

The 50-year-old actor and Elisabetta, 32, released a joint statement on Wednesday (June 22) confirming their breakup.

“We are not together anymore. It’s very difficult and very personal, and we hope everyone can respect our privacy,” George and Elisabetta said (via People).

Earlier in the week, Elisabetta sat front row at the DSquared2 fashion presentation in Milan, Italy.

George and Elisabetta were last photographed together in mid-June as they went out to dinner together in Como, Italy.

George is currently vacationing in Italy while on break from filming his movie, Gravity. He has been taking in the sights of the country with his gorgeous girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis.

The couple were spotted together that evening leaving Restaurant Il Gatto Nero in Como.

Last week, the pair spent some time in Milan, where George reportedly filmed a commercial for a European bank!
