Hollywood legend Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa made a rare public appearance for a dinner date in New Mexico.
The actor, 94, and his wife enjoyed a meal at Pappadeaux's near his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Thursday.
Hackman used a cane as he walked out of the restaurant. He also held onto his wife for balance.

The Unforgiven star appeared in good spirits and wore a checkered shirt, a gray vest, hiking pants and boots along with a baseball cap and sunglasses.
Hackman married Arakawa, a pianist, in 1991 but the couple is rarely seen in public. They were last photographed 21 years ago on the red carpet of the Golden Globes in 2003.
Hackman, best known for his roles in Hoosiers, The Poseidon Adventure and the Superman series, now lives a reclusive lifestyle.
He retired from acting in 2004 and lives on a ranch in New Mexico.
