Melbourne – China's Li Na went reached the fourth round of the Australian Open Friday when Spain's Anabel Medina Garrigues withdrew in tears after rolling her ankle.
Li was leading 2-0 when Medina Garrigues turned her ankle during a baseline rally. She tried to continue after a medical time-out but after losing the next game she retired with the score 3-0 to the fifth-seeded Li. – Sapa-AFP
