Jonas Brothers are facing the ire of their fans after "shifting" a number of tour dates in order to finish what they are calling some "exciting projects."
Joe, Kevin and Nick posted a video to socials, explaining the decision: "We have shifted the European dates to later this year but that is only because we have some exciting projects that we're very excited to share with you at a later point."
“European fans, we love you, we can’t wait to see you, it’s been long overdue,” they continued. “And we are so excited to play these shows later this year, in the fall. So make sure you hold on to your tickets. We will be having more information to come, but we cannot wait to see you.”
Naturally, the JoBros added a caption that reads, “We appreciate your love and support so much. We know this is a bit inconvenient but we can’t wait to share more about what’s coming.”
Of course, not sharing what those inconvenient projects are or what "more information" means has sparked a backlash among their fan base, which has criticized the trio's decision to postpone shows, pointing out that some fans have already paid for hotel and accommodation.
"I dont care what you have to show us, honestly," one fan responded on Instagram. "We bought flight tickets, paid hotels, spent a lot of money JUST TO SEE YOU. This is disrespectful. You booked the European dates before Latin America but now we are the ones getting f**ed. Honestly, I cannot believe how much I am disappointed in you. Never thought this day would come."
“It’s actually insane to announce it this way with 0 mention of refunds for a tour that starts in a month," wrote another fan. "I’m so disappointed. People can’t afford to ‘shift’ their plans in this economy.”
At this moment, the band has yet to respond, but hopefully the "exciting projects" involves offering to cover the money lost by their fans.
