The first challenge of the night was a rather boring, strictly physical challenge involving careening down a giant slip 'n slide, grabbing a ball, and then shooting it into a basket. It was neck and neck all the way down to Yau Man and Dreamz, with Dreamz sinking his basket first giving Moto yet another challenge victory. This competition wasn't all that exciting but might have led to an injury to the older Moto tribe member Gary, which throughout the episode threatened to take him out of the game. The reward was a choice of one of three things, their luxury items, a fishing set that Moto had previously won as well, or fresh fruits. Weirdly enough, when Moto won the challenge, they went for another fishing set rather than one of the other two items. They also pick Sylvia to go to Exile Island again, and the strategic reason isn't clear, although perhaps they thought she might be a target of her team and were giving her another opportunity to find the idol.
The second challenge was the food challenge, which involved eating many fine native delicacies. The winner of this would gain immunity and not have to go to tribal council. Despite Ravu's ravenous state, Moto won their fourth challenge in a row, sending the winless Ravu to tribal council yet again. The food wasn't the grossest we'd seen, with worms and pig snouts. Despite Gary's previous injury, he beat Anthony easily eating the pig snout, giving Moto the final point they needed to win. There was some tension between the two teams that is rarely seen this early on in the game, with one member of Moto complaining about the taunting that Ravu was doing. It should be interesting to see how a merge would affect that tension down the line.
This loss sent the already decimated Ravu to tribal council yet again to take out another of their own. With everyone in play this time around, since no one was sent to Exile Island for the vote-off, Sylvia's goose again appeared cooked. Sylvia had one potential ace up her sleeve, the immunity idol. However, when all was said and done, she did not have the idol and she was eliminated, although Rita's throwaway vote targeting Earl and three votes for Anthony made it anything but a landslide. The only reason Anthony got those votes, though, was in case Sylvia had the idol and the team would take him out. Previews indicate Anthony is again a target of his tribe, and nothing in the previews show that Ravu will finally break their losing streak.
