A unique countryside property with its own Hobbit house in Wales is on sale for £385,000.

Castle Cottage is a quaint period home with four bedrooms in Powys that has just gone on the market. Packed with character, you'll find features such as a wood-fired hot tub, 2.75-acres of land, beautiful surroundings and, of course, the famous Hobbit House (which includes its trademark circular door).

The property has undergone modernisation, including an extension which added a large kitchen/diner room to the rear. Elsewhere in the home, there is a large lounge, study space (which could also work as a fourth bedroom), a utility room and three further double bedrooms.

The current owners have been letting out the ground floor bedroom together with the unique Hobbit House on Airbnb — but now it could be yours. Inside the Hobbit House, there is tiled flooring, oak panelled walls and a wood-burning stove. It might not be remarkably large, but it's as charming as can be.

On the Hobbit's Airbnb listing, the current owners explain: 'It is small and has a sofa bed rather than a proper bed. The bathroom is down in our house and although it is for your exclusive use, it is a 30 second walk away. This is glamping, not luxury.'

Outside, new owners will find a lovely patio area where the hot tub is located. With breathtaking countryside views, it's the perfect spot for dining alfresco in the summer months.
