Terry Richardson is opening up in New York magazine’s latest cover story about the ongoing accusations of inappropriate behavior with models whom he’s worked with.
The controversial photographer — who has worked with famous faces including Charlize Theron, Mariah Carey, Rita Ora and Lady Gaga — defends himself against a recent accusation by British model Emma Appleton, who claims Richardson offered her, via text messages, a Vogue shoot in exchange for sex. The conversation has since been confirmed as a hoax.

“I’ll put you in Vogue. So corny. Ridiculous. Who talks like that? When people call me a pedophile and fucking bullshit, that’s a horrible thing to say about someone,” Richardson tells writer Benjamin Wallace.
Despite the many allegations brought forth about his sexual misconduct, he says, “I don’t have any regrets about the work at all, but obviously I don’t ever want someone to feel like that. It was never my intention. But also, people do things, and then they have regrets, and that’s also nothing to do with me.”

He added: “I’m okay with myself about everything, and that to me is the most important thing.”
Richardson also insists he was never alone with these young models. “It was never just me and a girl ever. It was always assistants, or other people around, or girls brought friends over to hang out. It was very daytime, no drugs, no alcohol,” he tells the magazine. “It was a happening, there was energy, it was fun, it was exciting, making these strong images, and that’s what it was. People collaborating and exploring sexuality and taking pictures.”

And while looking at a photo of Lindsay Lohan during the interview, the photographer denies that the two ever had sex, despite her alleged leaked sex list, which included his name. He said that it “never happened. Then, on the internet, people are like, ‘He did this and that.’ But it’s totally untrue.”
Do you believe what Richardson has to say? We can’t say we do, but we’ll let you decide after reading the full profile here.
