Adopt a Peregrine Falcon

Adopt a Peregrine Falcon – Meet Raj!

If you would like to adopt a Peregrine Falcon then Raj, our Peregrine Falcon at the Hawk Conservancy Trust, is the bird for you!

Raj arrived at the Trust in 2011. Peregrine Falcons are indisputably the fastest birds on the planet, achieving recorded speeds of up to 186mph, and Raj’s incredibly fast flying is no exception! He is a fantastic flyer and a real trooper – especially considering that a routine check from the vet after arriving at the Trust discovered that he has an enlarged heart! He is looked after exceptionally well, and we monitor him carefully and closely.

He is fit and well and flies beautifully in Reg’s Wildflower Meadow. Here he takes advantage of the warm thermals across the landscape to soar and demonstrate that iconic falcon stoop, although these great conditions do give him the opportunity to occasionally chase passing wildlife that take his fancy!

If you fancy adopting a bird of prey with great speed in flight, then adopt Raj, our Peregrine Falcon.
