Christmas light lovers will have to look elsewhere this coming holiday season as a Georgetown family who traditionally put on an elaborate display has announced there won’t be a show for 2023.

“After much consideration, we have decided to take a break this year and we hope to be back again in 2024,” says a post today (Oct. 17) on the Lamberts’ Lights Facebook page.

“We appreciate your support over the years and we will miss all your smiling faces more than words can say. This was not an easy decision, but unfortunately one that had to be made.”

For the past 26 seasons, the Lambert family has decked their Johnson Crescent property with thousands of Christmas lights that are synchronized to music. The popular display draws thousands of people each year.

The festive showcase doubles as a fundraiser for the Georgetown Hospital Foundation and Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CAShh).

Visitors who’ve contributed over the past decades have collectively helped raise over $115,000 for the hospital and almost $8,000 for CAShh.
