I watch the animated series with my children and I really enjoy watching it with them. So, I picked this up to read it with them. The characters are interesting, and the idea that anyone could turn evil if their emotional state is not cared for is an intriguing idea. However, this comic uses screen grabs from the animated series, and the quality of these screen grabs is not very good. Some images are blurred and there are even some that are pixelated. Also, this means that the stories are the same as in the animated series, so there is no new material here for fans of the show. It would be nice if an original comic were produced for this series.

I love Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir. I can't get enough of the TV show, songs, or books. This book was much like the others and needed more editing but the stories were really good. I loved the stories in the book, but the book definitely had some issues. The pictures are often badly chosen. They don't depict the characters well or are blurry or dark. Also there are parts of the story missing that help explain things which could make it very confusing for people who have not seen the episode recently or many times before. Also there were some issues in the writing that needed to be fixed. Overall I loved this book because of my obsession with Ladybug and Cat Noir, but I really wish they would spend more time editing the books before they publish them.

Goodreads Challenge: comic that isn’t published by Marvel, DC, or Image

This was adapted from a TV/video series I think, and some of the images definitely look like screenshots, too pixelated. Interesting premise but predictable and not complex.

This is basically just a series of screenshots from the TV show organized in a graphic novel style. While the images are of excellent quality, it's not all inclusive; it doesn't appear to be original anything; and it's lacking quirks from the show that make the show loveable. There are even pictures that look like the video has been paused --- characters making weird, frozen faces, that only a paused screen at the right (or wrong) moment would highlight.

I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting, but I still feel disappointed.

Graphic novel for a Miraculous episode. We read this because the kids loved the show. You're not missing out if you don't read this.
