Coral Castle Explained: The Secrets Of Edward Leedskalnin

Rate this book
The Coral Castle is a modern-day megalithic structure located just south of Miami Florida. It was created by one man, Edward Leedskalnin, who stood 5 feet tall, weighing just 100 lbs. The structure consists of over 1000 tons of oolite limestone. Ed claimed to know the secrets of the pyramid builders which could be true. The Coral Caslte was made without access to modern machinery and to date, no one has offered an adequate solution to how this structure was made. The mystery of how one person with a 4th grade education was able to create such an engineering feat is still talked about today. Coral Castle Explained is based on my research and conclusions as to how Edward Leedskalnin made this enigmatic structure that rivals the work of ancient builders in Egypt, South America and in the UK.

Author Kohler believes he has figured out how the creator of the Coral Castle near Florida City moved tons of coral and does a very good job of thorough;y laying out what he believes. He provides a really good list of footnotes and links for the reader to follow to read material he believes supports his conclusion.

The writing is pretty good and Kohler is very clear in explaining his views.

Outside of my view of the written content of the book: I wasn't surprised to learn the author is from California. I don't understand what it is that makes so many people out there believe in mysticism, but Kohler is just another example. Though Kohler's thorough explanation is far less loopy than so much I hear from the west coast otherwise.

Bottom line: I don't recommend the book. 5 out of 10 points.

I don't agree with the author's conclusions, but that doesn't prevent me from appreciating the fact that this is one of the better Coral Castle books out there.
