Line of Duty's Kelly Macdonald will lead Netflix's intriguing neo-noir thriller I Came By.

Set in London, the story follows a rebellious young graffiti artist who targets the homes of the wealthy elite, only to discover a shocking secret that leads him on a journey endangering himself and those closest to him.

The dark drama, co-written and directed by BAFTA winning filmmaker Babak Anvari (Under the Shadow), will also star Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville, George Mackay (1917, Captain Fantastic), Percelle Ascott (The Innocents, X+Y) and Varada Sethu (Hard Sun, Strike Back).

Filming will begin in the UK shortly, with a release date set for 2022.

Macdonald recently appeared in the latest series of Line of Duty, playing corrupt copper Detective Superintendent Jo Davidson, and has completed filming on the UK adaptation of French Netflix hit Call My Agent.

Meanwhile, Bonneville finished filming the sequel to 2019's Downton Abbey movie, though the release date has been pushed back as a result of the pandemic.

Downton Abbey 2 was set for a Christmas cinematic release on December 22nd, but is now scheduled for release in Spring 2022.

Along with familiar faces including Michelle Dockery as Lady Mary Crawley, Laura Carmichael as Lady Edith, and Jim Carter as Mr Carson, the follow-up will also feature exciting new additions to the cast - Hannibal's Hugh Dancy, White Lines star Laura Haddock, veteran French actress Nathalie Baye and The Affair's Dominic West.

I Came By will launch on Netflix in 2022.
