Home Alone might warm the cockles of your heart and get you in the festive spirit, but have you ever considered the long-lasting trauma that might have been caused by being left at home by your family when you were just eight? Or the ramifications and distress induced by having to protect your home from mad burglars?

No we hadn't either because we're a heartless bunch, but Macaulay Culkin has released a video to show how such a dark experience might have impacted him. In it, we see Kevin, aged 25 and now working as a taxi driver, is still struggling with what happened.

"I had to fend off my house from two psychopath home invaders," he tells his passenger. "I was just a kid. I mean, I still have nightmares about this bald weirdo dude chasing me around, calling me like, 'louse' and s**t like that.

"They remembered by bastard of a brother [Buzz] but they forget me. The cutest f**king 8-year-old in the universe. By far."

Then in a bizarre turn of events, the car is hijacked. Culkin, using similar defence tactics employed in Home Alone, ends up kidnapping the assailant. At this point, this get a bit weird. But we won't spoil it for you, watch the video for yourself above.
