Ice dancing's version of a Royal Wedding took place over the weekend: Tanith Belbin and Charlie White were married in West Bloomfield.

Meryl Davis — White's gold medal partner from the Sochi Olympics — was a bridesmaid. And Benjamin Agosto, who won a silver medal with Belbin in 2006 at Torino, was a guest.

The wedding took place at the Planterra Conservatory, People Magazine reports, "not far from the suburban Detroit rink where they first met in 1998."

"She was the most beautiful girl at the rink," said White, 27. "I think probably every guy had a crush on her."

People says Belbin, 30, wore an ivory strapless A-Line gown by Modern Trousseu, with a pink ombré skirt and sweetheart neckline. She said the bridesmaids wore "whatever dress they wanted in any shade of pink. They are too unique to be dressed the same."

White grew up in Bloomfield Hills; Belbin was born in Canada, but, like him, trained here in Canton.

They were engaged during a trip to Hawaii last year, after White and Davis competed on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" — separately — and Davis won.

And now, Belbin told People, she has to work on her dancing on solid ground.

"I am evidence of the fact that being a good ice dancer does not make you a good dancer," Belbin said. "My main challenge whenever Charlie and I dance together is, in my (skating) partnership, I had a tendency to lead, which is a big no-no with female dancers. We have a tendency to kind of bump into each other when trying to take the lead. I have to practice letting him do that."
