From $400 To $7000: Inside Metallica’s ‘Enhanced Experience’ Ticket Packages

Following

With tickets to Metallica’s 72 Seasons tour now on sale it appears the band is offering a wide range of ticket options for fans, with some premium packages costing as much as $7000. While there’s a significant price gap between the ‘enhanced experience’ packages and general ticket options, fans are looking at a minimum price of $400 to access one of Metallica’s ‘enhanced experiences.’

In taking a closer look at the premium options Metallica has made available, these ticket packages do offer a one of a kind experience for fans and at a variety of prices, but whether or not it’s worth the high entry price will certainly depend on one’s admiration for the band.

‘Frantic’ Early-Entry GA Package: $414-$598

Starting with Metallica’s least expensive ‘enhanced’ ticket package, the “Frantic” early-entry GA package grants ticket buyers a two-day admission floor ticket for the selected city, and a number of on-site amenities including priority check-in and access to the fast track lane. Additionally the ticket comes with one limited edition Metallica merchandise item, as well as one complimentary beverage prior to public doors opening. Overall, this seems like a great deal for fans looking to get an all in one package at a relatively fair price.

‘Seek & Destroy’ Reserved Package: $518-$698

Moving on to the ‘Seek and Destroy’ package, a slightly more expensive alternative to the ‘Frantic’ ticket, this option offers the same amenities but with a premium reserved seat in the lower bowl section of the stadium. It’s certainly a better option for those not looking to have to stand for two nights of head-throbbing metal, and it’s arguably one of the best seating options for these stadium shows.

‘One’ Enhanced Experience: $810-$1,098

With the ‘One’ Enhanced Experience’ Metallica look to turn things up a notch for ticket holders. Like the ‘Seek & Destroy’ package which offers a seat in the bowl section of the stadium, the ‘One Enhanced Experience’ goes the extra mile by offering the first few rows of the lower bowl as seating options. Going even further, this ticket option offers most of the same amenities as the prior packages but also includes an Mp3 download of the live audio for both shows, as well as access to an exclusive ‘Metallica fans party’ which includes three complimentary drinks and an appetizers for ticket holders. While it’s certainly on the pricer side, considering how much food and drinks cost at live entertainment events this package does seem to give concertgoers the all in ‘one’ live experience, hence the name.

‘Moth Into Flame’ Snake Pit Experience: $1,038-$1,398

The ‘Moth Into Flame’ package is where things start to get next level. Providing all the same amenities as the ‘One Enhanced Experience,’ the ‘Moth Into Flame’ package gives fans access to Metallica’s famed ‘Snake Pit’ seating — a VIP standing area the band has sectioned off in the center of their 360 degree stage. With Metallica’s new ‘round’ stage for the 72 Seasons tour, the snake pit may just be the actual best seats in the house, albeit for a very high price. However, considering all of the other included amenities as well as the fact that all of these packages are two-day tickets, Metallica are really giving fans a range of decently priced premium options for these shows.

‘Nothing Else Matters’ Snake Pit Experience: $3,222-$4398

With these next two ticket packages Metallica is offering their most premium amenities and seating options available, albeit for what some would consider an outrageously high price. The ‘Nothing Else Matters’ Snake Pit Experience not only gives fans seating access to the snake pit and a litany of other amenities including two signed limited edition show-specific posters, a production tour led by one of Metallica’s crew members, but most notably a meet & greet with two members of Metallica. Some may think Charging $3,000 to $4,000 for a ‘meet & greet’ ticket package is a bit overboard, especially when the meet & greet isn’t with the full band, but the other amenities included do seem to be worth the added cost particularly for die-hard Metallica fans.

‘Lux Aeterna’ Private Platform Experience: $7272

Speaking of die-hard fans, the ‘Lux Aeterna’ private platform experience looks to provide the ultimate fan experience for Metallica’s 72 Seasons tour. Going a step above the snake pit seating, the ‘Lux Aeterna’ package puts the ticket holder and up to eight guests in an exclusive viewing platform for both of the selected city’s shows. Additionally the platform comes stocked with a cooler full of beer and soft drinks, and ticket holders get access to the ‘black box’ pre-show lounge prior to the concert. That being said this package does not feature a meet and greet or the production tour opportunities included on the ‘Nothing Else Matters’ package. However, the ‘Lux Aeterna’ could be a worthwhile investment for fans looking to split the cost of a premium package amongst themselves, given it allows up to eight guests to join in on the experience.

Despite tickets for the 72 Seasons tour going on sale today, Metallica has only made 2-day tickets available at this time. However, the band has stated that one-day ticket options will be for sale for a limited time in early 2023. Depending on how fast these two day tickets sell I’d wager there won’t be many one-day tickets available once they hit the market. Overall, it seems Metallica is really pushing for fans to opt in to their two night concert experience. It’a quite the ambitious undertaking by Metallica to provide so many ticket options and amenities for their fans, and given the diehard fanbase that they have these premium packages will more than likely sell fast.
