Daniilidou wins in Seoul

Eleni Daniilidou of Greece beat Japan's Ai Sugiyama in the final of the Korea Open on Sunday, securing her fourth career singles title. Daniilidou, ranked 58th in the world, defeated fourth-seed Sugiyama, the world 27, 6-3 2-6 7-6.

Sugiyama had beaten Daniilidou four times in previous six meetings, with her last win over the Greek player coming at the French Open this year.

The victory wrapped up the 24-year-old's first title since the win in 2004 in Auckland.
