The Gardenia (gardenia jasminoides), also known as the Cape Jasmine, is a popular shrub known for its white blossoms and sweet fragrance. They’re easy to train into a shrub or small tree (up to eight feet). Gardenias are low maintenance plants and bloom prolifically several times a year. They pair very well with azaleas, magnolias and hydrangeas. They’re best in zones 8-11, but can be brought inside and treated as houseplants in zones 3-7. Each pack comes with basic instructions for germination.
