The love story of Elin Nordegren and Tiger Woods was no less than a fairytale. When the 21-year-old Swedish beauty moved to the US as the nanny of golfer Jesper Parnevik and his wife Mia Parnevik’s children, she caught the eye of the golf genius. At the time she harbored the dreams of becoming a child psychologist. Their courtship took to marriage which unfortunately ended in divorce after Woods admitted to infidelity.

At the time of the divorce, Nordegren was pursuing her psychology degree from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, which she finished in 2014. Now she has a career of her own. Let’s explore her choice of occupation.

Elin Nordegren‘s career explored

Post her divorce, Nordegren was rewarded with an alimony of $100 million from the golfer from which she purchased a 1920’s mansion in Florida which was worth $12 million at the time. Driven by her passion towards her beliefs, Nordegren went on to pursue a career in child psychology. She graduated with a 3.96 GPA.

In September 2018, Nordegren applied for her license as a registered Mental Health Counselor Intern post which she launched EN Therapy, LLC, in November. Her license had an expiration date of September 26, 2023. After her famous divorce, the Swedish model maintained a very private life and let out no information about her current status.

The last news about her only revealed that she was working as a mental health counselor. Unfortunately, her business license was dissolved by authorities in September 2021 after she failed to submit her annual report for the year. Later in 2022, Nordegren sold the Florida house for $28.6 million which gave her a profit of 16.6 million.

Around the time her net worth was around $200 million which is a pleasing sum to live off. Currently, there is no confirmation about what she is doing these days. 

Relationship with Tiger Woods post-split

After the high media coverage of her divorce, Nordegren was burdened with the responsibility of raising her two children. And for the sake of them, she and Woods jointly decided to be on cordial terms. Post-separation they released a statement in which they said, “While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us.”

In fact their friendship has become so good that in 2022 when she welcomed her fourth child both Tiger and Charlie congratulated her on TV during the PNC Championship. Since then she has maintained a low profile and is maintaining a quiet life.
