I found this book tedious and overly wordy. It's from the 80's and is very low tech, with simple line drawings, which I didn't find particularly helpful. I have to say that I haven't finished the whole book since it's mostly geared toward sweaters and I'm a sock knitter. I had thought there might be some interesting info about the process of knitting in the round in general, (given the title,) and possibly tips on how to translate difficult flat lace patterns into knitting in the round, which I didn't find. In all, I'd rather have the money I spent back in my hand than this book.
Love the stories about the author, In many ways, this book is a look into history, the history of a knitter as well as the history of a woman.

I received the item quickly and it was even better than described. The stories about the author's life were well written.

Elizabeth Zimmerman's book Knitting Around is, as all of her books exceptional! She doesn't just give patterns, but teaches how to make one's own designs. And her directions are pretty clear.

Bought this book for one pattern and it was nothing I would have bought if I were able to leaf through it. I will never use it
