                      Religion and Tattoos

Religion.  Tattoos.  Religious Tattoos.  These publications and presentations show results and insight from the ongoing research collaboration between Texas Tech and Baylor University Sociologists.

Studying the relationship between religion and tattoos, as well as the manifestation of religious tattoos and those who have them, is an emerging subset of our extensive work on body modification.  Persons of deep faith and commitment are showing others who they are by, literally, wearing their faith "on their sleeves."
