More than four years after the death of Brittany Murphy at age 32, her final film — Something Wicked — has finally been given a release date.

The thriller will premiere on April 4 in Eugene, Ore., where it was filmed.

The shoot had been completed just months before the actress died of pneumonia and severe anemia in December 2009.

Writer-producer Joe Colleran told the Daily News of New York that her death not only forced reshoots but also put extra pressure on director Darin Scott and his crew in editing the film.

“You do want her performance to be the best it can be because, unfortunately, it’s her last performance,” Colleran said. “It has been an extremely protracted process, but here we are.”

Something Wicked is described as a “hauntingly seductive thriller about obsession and young love gone wrong.”

Of the performance by Murphy, Colleran said: “She just hit it out of the park. You can see why she was a celebrity and a star.”

She was best-known for Clueless (1995); Girl, Interrupted (1999); and 8 Mile (2002).
