Love Island is set to amp up the awkwardness on tonight's (June 14) episode after Gemma Owen accidentally calls Luca Bish by her ex's name.
Gemma is currently coupled up with Luca, though her ex Jacques O'Neill arrived over the weekend as a bombshell and Gemma admitted at the time that it was "a weird situation".
In tonight's episode, Luca is seen playing around with Gemma as the group sit around the table, pulling her back into his stomach.

As she complains for him to stop, Gemma utters: "Ughh, no, Jacque– … urm, Luca, don't. Shit."
It is immediately picked up on too, with Luca looking surprised and noting: "I know what she said."
Speaking later in the Beach Hut, Gemma admitted: "That was awkward. That was… that was bad… that was bad."

Later on, relations between the pair seem to get tense as they have a chat by fire, with Luca saying: "You just called me Jacques and then you two are inside together. Why would that not be weird?"
"I am not… don't roll your eyes and be a prick," Gemma hits back. "It was a genuine mistake, I'm sorry."

Things already appear to be unsteady between Gemma and Luca, with the latter admitting he was "fed up" and "drained" after seeing her and Jacques chatting together after his arrival.
Will they be able to move beyond name-gate?
Meanwhile, Gemma's famous footballer dad Michael has come to the defence of his daughter amid criticism online, notably over her looks, personality and her age as well.
