In bumper animation news, Sony Pictures will release a fourth Hotel Transylvania film, while DreamWorks Animation is working on a sequel to Shrek spin-off Puss in Boots.
Hotel Transylvania 4 will be released on December 22, 2021, set to run alongside the third Avatar film, as well as Universal's adaptation of the musical Wicked.

Elsewhere, Deadline is also reporting that Shrek spin-off Puss in Boots, which debuted in 2011, is getting a sequel directed by Bob Persichetti.
The first Shrek film premiered in 2001, followed by sequels Shrek 2 in 2004, Shrek the Third in 2007 and Shrek Forever After in 2010.
Persichetti's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse took home the Oscar for this year's Best Animated Feature Film.

Latifa Ouaou, who was a producer on the original Puss in Boots, will oversee development of its sequel.
The Puss in Boots sequel doesn't have a release date yet, but Universal will distribute the film – it bought DreamWorks back in 2016.
Elsewhere, Transformers is set to get a brand new animated prequel series on Netflix, the streaming service has announced.
War For Cybertron will be an origin story set in the world of the Transformers, and will see Netflix partner with toymakers Hasbro for a 2020 release.
Netflix also promised a "brand new animation style" for the series in its announcement.
