They are two of Australia's most glamorous women, known for their glitzy lifestyle and expensive taste.  

And Lara Worthington (nee Bingle), 30, and Kyly Clarke (nee Boldy), 36, have far more in common than initially meets the eye.

From starting out as bleach-blonde bikini models to dating the same man and launching similar businesses, Daily Mail Australia takes a look at the parallel lives of these stylish mothers and how they came to live parallel lives.

Lara and Kyly both began their journeys to fame as aspiring bikini models from New South Wales' Sutherland Shire.

Lara started modelling at the tender age of 15, and went on to star in a slew of print commercials. 

As her fame grew, she began stripping down for racier photo shoots, appearing on the cover Australian men's magazines including FHM, Ralph and Zoo magazine.

Kyly was a regular on the bikini pageant circuit and boasts a slew of titles in the early 2000s 

Meanwhile, Kyly started her foray into the world of modelling by posing in commercial catalogues for the likes of Big W.

She went on to become a regular on the bikini pageant circuit and boasts a slew of titles including Miss Indy 1999, the 2002 Australian Swimwear Model Of The Year, Miss Adrenalin Sports Model 2003, Miss Hawaiian Island 2003, FHM's Miss Snow Bunny 2003, and Miss Manly Sea Eagle 2003. 

Both Lara and Kyly also starred in racy advertising campaigns in the earlier days of their careers.

What lucky ladies! Perhaps the most obvious similarity between the two women is the fact that they both dated former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke

Lara is best known for appearing in the 2006 Tourism Australia advertising campaign 'So where the bloody hell are you?', while Kyly famously appeared in a steamy 2011 campaign for Jim Beam.

They announced their split in 2010, just two years before Michael began dating Kyly Boldy.

Michael and Kyly dated for just 18 months before tying the knot during a secret ceremony in 2012. 

Lara went on to date and eventually marry Australian actor Sam Worthington in 2014, also in a private ceremony.

In 2012, Lara announced that she was co-creating a coffee table beauty book with her best friend and make-up artist Max May, but the book was never released. 

Two years later she launched her own tanning brand called The Base, which has since expanded to become a high-end makeup line available at retail giant Sephora.

Kyly released her first book, a self-help novel titled True to You, in 2016.

Most recently Lara and Kyly have both expanded their brands into the cooking and health sphere, with Lara updating her Instagram with tips on how to peel grapes, and Kyly touting her new online cooking tutorial videos this month.
