'Two weeks and a bit and COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS.  Happy Valentine's to no one except Erin … and maybe Emma. The girls of my dreams,' she playfully captioned the post on Monday.

There is also a playful video of Caitlyn falling onto Erin's lap before being cuddled by her.

While their relationship is relatively new, it appears Erin, who is a producer in Hollywood, has appeared on Caitlin's Instagram since February last year.

The Australian actress has been living in Los Angeles for the past three years.

Her happy relationship announcement comes two months after she returned home Down Under in December.

At the time, she had flown to Sydney in order to film Amazon's upcoming series Class of '07.

Caitlin will be starring alongside Emily Browning and Megan Smart in the comedy, which boasts an all-female cast of 12 Australian actors.

Earlier in the month, the popular actress was spotted filming scenes in Sydney's Northern Beaches, though at the time the nature of the project was kept under wraps.

The series is centred on a never-ending high school reunion with life and death stakes.

When an apocalyptic tidal wave hits during the 10-year reunion of an all-girls high school, a group of women must find a way to survive on the island peak of their high school campus.

The series follows a group of former classmates, now freshly entangled in decade-old drama, as they attempt to survive not just the apocalypse, but each other.

The TV show is being directed by award-winning Australian writer and director Kacie Anning.

Last year, Caitlin made headlines when she announced her new career as a writer and director for female-led pornography site Afterglow.

Caitlin has directed three short erotic films for Afterglow, each one focusing on female empowerment, intimacy and sexual inclusivity.

Prior to that, she was best known for playing the role of Rachel Kinski on Neighbours.
