Andy Murray's coach Amélie Mauresmo (and her ever-growing baby bump) help the tennis ace warm up for Wimbledon

  • Amélie Mauresmo is seven months pregnant with her first child
  • Practised with 28-year-old Scot at All England Club in south west London
  • Her bump was clearly visible as she rallied with Murray in the summer sun

She may be just days away from giving birth, but that won't stop Andy Murray’s coach Amélie Mauresmo from letting her impending baby get in the way of her job.

The 35-year-old French former professional tennis player and former World No. 1. was spotted helping her Scottish tennis ace warm up ahead of Wimbledon.

Dressed in her whites with tennis racket and ball in hand, Miss Mauresmo avidly watched on as the newlywed Murray practiced alongside Swedish Coach, Jonas Bjorkman.

Mauresmo, who won two Grand Slam singles titles at the Australian Open and at Wimbledon, as well as taking home silver at 2004's Summer Olympics, was given the go-head by The All England Club to be at Murray’s side, despite her heavily pregnant state.

Until this week, she had been coaching remotely from her native France.

But earlier this week she was lobbing shots at her pupil – and returning his – in a bid to fine tune Murray’s game ahead of the start of the tournament on Monday. It’s just as well because the stakes could not be higher for the 28-year-old world number three.

Last year he was humiliated when he lost in the quarter finals in straight sets having won the title in 2013. This year Team Murray will be hoping to build on his triumph in the finals of the Queen’s Club competition last Sunday.

Miss Mauresmo, who came out as gay in 1999, announced that she was having a child with her partner just days before Murray married his long-term girlfriend Kim Sears in April.

The 35-year-old has kept details about her baby’s father – and her partner – secret, only revealing that she is due in August. It is thought that she will return to coaching in November.
