Sandra Bullock is one of the biggest actresses on the planet, so it’s really no surprise that she’s been in so many colossal box office hits. The actor, who’s maybe most known for her larger-than-life roles in Miss Congeniality and Gravity (to name just a select few), has been gracing the big screen since the 1980s. Through the years, she’s acted alongside other Hollywood greats, including Keanu Reeves, George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, and Ryan Reynolds, and has won several awards.

Miss Congeniality, $212.7 Million

In 2000, Bullock played the lead role of Gracie Hart in the film, Miss Congeniality. The movie opened up a few days before Christmas and was a smash hit, raking in more than $212 million worldwide from the box office. However, its sequel, Miss Congeniality 2, wasn’t a huge success. "That one should have remained a one-off," Bullock told Metro UK when asked about it.

The Heat, $229.9 Million

The Heat, which also starred Melissa McCarthy and had a budget of around $43 million, generated more than $229 million at the box office. The movie won multiple awards and featured other big names, too, including Marlon Wayans and Michael Rapaport. “The first time we talked I was like, 'Okay, this is going to be so much fun.’ She’s really, really funny and really, really nice,” Melissa McCarthy shared about Bullock during an interview on Sway In The Morning.

Ocean’s Eight, $297.8 Million

Bullock joined forces with Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, and Mindy Kaling to film the 2018 megahit, Ocean’s Eight. The film follows an all-girl crew attempting to pull off a heist at the Met Gala. "[Cate] was doing a play, I had two kids that needed to be shuttled from school, so I was running around with that, it was flu season, and we were all juggling so many things...it was really nurturing and helpful, we all sort of pitched in when one of us was struggling," Bullock shared with Harper's Bazaar about working alongside fellow female stars on the film. "At some point with a family, kids, and work, you are going to need some help, and we all jumped in to help each other, and that's what made it so incredibly sweet."

The Blind Side, $309.2 Million

The Blind Side proved to be a successful hit, generating over $255 million domestically and over $53 million internationally. Not only was this movie received well, but it brought home some awards, too—Bullock won an Oscar for her role in it.

Ryan Reynolds and Bullock proved to be a perfect comedic pairing in the 2009 romcom, The Proposal. The film, shot in places like Beverly Hills, New York City, and Newport, Rhode Island, centers around Bullock’s character who needs a green card to stay in the States—and will do anything to get one, including marrying Reynolds’ character.

Speed, $350.4 Million

Bullock starred alongside Keanu Reeves in the 1994 hit, Speed. Shot in Los Angeles, the movie follows a police officer who has to keep driving a city bus at a certain speed so that a bomb aboard it doesn’t go off. It brought in over $350 million at the box office and is still considered a must-watch today.

The 2013 sci-fi thriller, Gravity was a huge success, making over $748 million at the box office. The film, which stars Bullock and George Clooney, tells the story of two astronauts trying to figure out what to do after getting stranded in space.

Minions, $1.15 Billion

Bet you didn’t realize Bullock also had a role in the extremely popular animated movie, Minions. In this picture, Bullock voices the character of supervillain Scarlet Overkill, alongside other big names, including Jon Hamm and Michael Keaton. This film did incredibly well at the box office—it made a staggering $1.15 billion in total.
