The Millaa Millaa Waterfall Circuit includes a trio of beautiful waterfalls, accessed by a circuit road just a short distance from the township of Millaa Millaa.

Completing the set are the Zillie Falls and Ellinjaa Falls. The road takes you across a high plateau with panoramic views of the fertile green hills of the Atherton Tablelands.

Ahtherton Tablelands

Travelling from Cairns to Millaa Millaa, there are three different routes:

  1. the Mareeba / Atherton route

  2. the windy Gillies Range road

  3. the southern route, turning off the Bruce Highway to head up the Palmerston Highway (State Route 25).

Allow a couple of hours travelling time from Cairns.

A round trip from Cairns is ideal, to soak up a variety of scenery.

Mount Hypipamee Crater.

Just half an hour’s drive from Millaa Millaa via. the East Evelyn Road (Route 24), tucked away in the dense rainforest, lies a deep rich green crater lake - the Mount Hypipamee Crater.

Follow the circuit track from the crater to discover the beautiful Dinner Falls in the valley below.

East Evelyn Road is the highest road in Queensland, so you can always stop for an Instagram pic at the summit - elevation 1,162 metres.

Mungalli Biodynamic

Just 10 minutes down the road from Millaa Millaa, you’ll find the Mungalli Creek Dairy Cafe.

This is an unmissable stop on your journey. Set on high ground, surrounded by farmland and mountain views, Mungalli is a cafe oasis in the least expected place.

Indoor and outdoor dining (under the trees), dairy factory visit, cafe delights, including Mungali Creek’s biodynamic products.
