Start us off: What is this place?
Inaugurated in May 1933, Jean Talon Market, in the heart of Little Italy, is one of the oldest public markets in Montréal, and one of the largest open-air markets in North America.

What's the vibe? Busy and loud, or quiet and calm?
It bustles with activity year-round; you'll find local fruit and vegetable growers, butchers, bakers, fishmongers, grocers, and restaurateurs.

Who comes here to shop from them?
Because the market is both fun and functional it's frequented by both tourists and locals.

Did it meet expectations?
If you're looking for old-world charm, there's nothing better.

Perfect. So, at the end of the day, what, or who, do you think it’s best for?
The Jean Talon Market, an unmissable Montreal shop for food lovers, offers something for every budget, occasion, and taste.
