The Climate in Trinity Beach

The climate in Trinity Beach has two distinct seasons: The Dry Season and The Green Season. The Dry Season is between May and December and is generally characterised by low humidity, low rainfall and temperatures ranging between 24 and 29 degrees Celsius. The Green Season is between January and April and is characterised by higher temperatures (reaching a maximum of 32 degrees), more rainfall and higher humidity although generally days are dry followed by spectacular thunderstorms in the evenings making those clean pure sunshine days perfect for your morning walk or that sail out to the reef.

How to get to Trinity Beach

Trinity Beach is located just 20 minutes north of Cairns city and 15 minutes from the Cairns International Airport on the Captain Cook Highway. When booking your beaches accommodation ask about car hire, private hire car service or seat in coach transfers.

Trinity Beach Esplanade Walking Trails

A morning jog or walk along the Trinity Beach Esplanade is just delightful with the beautiful lush green gardens and shady trees that line the boardwalk and beachfront making it rather pleasant to stroll along casually out of the sun along one of Cairns most popular beaches Trinity Beach. The walk from the northern end Trinity Beach car park to the southern end of the Trinity Beach cliff face takes around only half an hour and is suitable for both unfit walkers and the very fit walkers who may just like to take a jog along Trinity Beach in the morning sunshine. The esplanade walk is fully paved up until you reach the southern end of the beach and then you need to walk across the sand and over to the beginning of the cliff face walk. Here you will encounter a few gentle steps that will assist you to climb to the cliff face peak so you can enjoy the beautiful views over the waters of the Great Barrier Reef to the islands and look back to the palm fringed beaches of Trinity Beach.

The Trinity Beach esplanade is very well planned for both holiday makers and locals alike to take advantage of and enjoy the beach and the views that it provides. The Cairns city council has installed barbeques, shade pergolas, a children's shaded playground, and bathrooms and as a matter of course on any Australian beach a surf lifesavers hut complete with a professional lifesaver and all of his or her rescue equipment.

During the warmer months of November to May a swimming enclosure is put out in the water to prevent any marine animals from potentially entering the swimming zone, along with providing a safe place for families to swim and have a surf lifesaver on patrol overseeing the swimmers activities.

Walking or jogging along Trinity Beach esplanade at any time of year is easy as it never gets congested with lots of people and there are lot's of rest areas for you to just sit and relax if you have over exerted yourself on your morning or afternoon jog on the Trinity Beach walking trail.Trinity Beach esplanade also has outdoor shower facilities for you to wash off the salty water if you decide to have a swim after your power walk along the esplanade.

The nightlife in Trinity Beach is laid back and casual, just what you would expect in a little beachfront enclave in the Cairns Northern Beaches. Also at Coastwatchers Shopping Centre there is a small specialty grocery store with a great gourmet delicatessen, a bottle shop, butcher, video store, bakery, hair salon and a real estate agency. This shopping centre also offers professional services such as doctors and dentists as well. The closest major shopping Centre or mall is either five minutes north at Clifton Beach or five minutes south at Smithfield Shopping Centre with regular service by Sun bus for shopping convenience.
