ALEC Hogg, the CEO of Moneyweb, on Thursday resigned from the business news and multimedia provider.Mr Hogg, who founded Moneyweb Holdings in 1997, will become a nonexecutive director on the JSE-listed company’s board. He had been reappointed as CEO in April this year.He posted a message on Facebook early on Wednesday, saying: "Fifteen years after an idea to start a financial website led to the creation of Moneyweb, my full-time association with it has ended."Paul Jenkins, the chairman of Caxton & CTP Publishers & Printers, will serve as executive chairman until the board finds a replacement for Mr Hogg.Caxton, with more than 50% of Moneyweb’s outstanding share capital, is its majority shareholder.
