Carlos Santana is the latest victim of an Internet death hoax. Rumors of the rock icon’s demise started swirling on Tuesday, claiming that he had died at the age of 68, but on Wednesday (Sept. 30), his rep Michael Jensen confirmed to USA Today that his client is indeed alive and well.

The rumors are “completely false,” Jensen told the outlet, adding, “he is alive and well and enjoying his morning!” Which is great news, because we really need more Santana in our lives, especially during Hispanic Heritage Month.
The Mexican American icon is among the A-list artists recruited by mogul Emilio Estefan for the recent pan-Latin unity anthem “We’re All Mexican.” Billed less as a response to Donald Trump and more as a tribute to Latin culture and achievements, the track comes at a time when there is heightened bigotry and anti-Hispanic sentiment in the media.
