LL Cool J admits you can’t 'call it a comeback' while announcing 'Rock The Bells Festival' return

Continuing the year long celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop, LL Cool J has announced the return of Rock The Bells Festival — “just don’t call it a comeback.”

The Hip-Hop pioneer jumped on Instagram to talk about the future of RTB and his plans to bring together the genre’s most iconic performers for the milestone event.

Sharing the exciting news, “I wanted to tell you personally — Saturday, August 5, Rock The Bells Festival is back,” he noted, before joking — “Well, you can’t call it a comeback,” referencing the the opening bar of his 1990 smash hit “Mama Said Knock You Out.”

LL also teased that “there will be some album announcements coming soon too as well,” at the end of his video.

In a separate post shared the same day, Uncle L reiterated his excitement and confirmed the festivals location in the caption, writing, “It’s truly an honor to bring the Rock The Bells Festival to Forest Hills, Queens for a second year.”

And while the lineup is still unreleased, L said it’s “coming soon.” Urging fans to “Trust your man,” alluding to a mind-blowing list of heavy hitters that you won’t want to miss. “You should get your tickets now,” he said alerting fans that tickets were now available to purchase — HERE.
