Breaks under consciously sensitive use
After no more than 5 hours of play over 2 days (due to the other 1 star reviews here), this broke as depicted. The stick w rings is brittle as others have said, and a search for the original patent design from the 70s shows the originals had a much better designed ring... this engineered to break soon.

If you have a light touch, this controller will probably last long enough to get your $20 out of it. The joystick is clicky and responsive, which is a good thing.
However, if you are used to playing on the older Atari controllers (much tougher), this won't last long at all. My mother managed to break two of them in a few hours...the picture attached shows the difference between the old Atari joystick core (white) and the cores that came with these controllers (black). The arms that are responsible for pressing on the board pins break very easily.
On the upside, if you DO have some old joysticks laying around, you can replace the flimsy black cores in these with the tougher white ones and it works pretty well.
