There are a ton of different ways to wear your pubic hair, and they're all totally valid. You can wax, pluck, or use threading for removal, or you can also let it grow. According to Refinery29, that's exactly what Thandie Newton apparently does, which she recently talked about on Graham Norton.

Newton is currently starring in the hit HBO series Westworld and her character, Maeve, often appears nude on the show. During those scenes, she's seen with a full bush, and Newton opened up about the fact that while many actors would often wear a merkin (or vagina wig) to imitate pubic hair if they don't typically groom the same way as their character, she didn't need to do that. Newton says, "I didn’t need the merkin because I don’t alter anything. Full ‘70s bush.”

Though Westworld is set sometime in the future, much of it takes place in a wild West-themed theme park, and every detail is important. Newton says of the characters set in the prairie, “They weren’t waxing and stripping and plucking!” The historical accuracy of the show is important, and it's a huge reason why the characters on the show are seen with full pubic hair — either their own, like Newton's, or via merkins. During the interview, she also told Graham Norton that another reason she decided not to wear a merkin during filming (aside from not really needing one) was that they take around 45 minutes to put on, and she wanted that extra time to spend with her two-year-old.

In case you're also into a more grown-out look when it comes to pubic hair, here are some suggestions for pubic hair care products.
