The centaurs are largely believed to be based on Scythians, a people from north of the Black Sea who were steppe nomads (a group of cultures based largely on the Eurasian steppe ranging from western China to Austria).
The centaur in WoW are based on generic steppe nomads, not Mongols. They don’t really have any features that aren’t common to all of those cultures.
So weirdly, they’re actually really faithful to the Greek myth.
but there would be armor.
Helms, shoulders, chest, hands, feet (anklets like taurens, etc…) leggings could become adornments or be hidden and the back could be on the horse part or on the human part…
All normal so far. By the way, in centaurs there would be even more adornments than in any other race, just look at the photo I posted before :
Let’s observe her:
She has a helmet, shoulders, hands armor, chest, anklets (feet), belt, probably a cape. It would only lack leggings, but it has adornments (shields) around the back. She has a kind of cell or leatherwork on her lower back.
I see this working very well with the possibility of xmog with today’s equipment and the possibility of new adornments and even special sets sold in the store for this audience.
Put a shiny, bulky plate chest piece on a centaur and tell me that doesn’t look hilariously awkward.
There’s a difference between armor created for them to look more grounded in nature and be mostly leather, than shoving some current plate pieces on them.
Druids are a class that aren’t locked to flight form. I use mounts myself when I want something different.
I already answered this one → the draconic form will hide some pieces of sets (in the dragon form I believe, idk in normal form) - In centaurs, leggings would be hidden or become shields for the back (as shown in the pictures)
the feet could basically be the same, you equip boots and the 4 paws get them. Simple.
The sheer amount of coding that would have to go into creating a race that can’t use half of its collections would be astounding. And not worth the complications.
