August 10, 2022

This year has been an exciting year for transportation in Lethbridge! From the cultureLINK bus initiative to the incredible inclusion of Neuron e-Transportation, there are more options than ever to get around Lethbridge! Whether you’re looking to try Neuron e-Scooter out for the first time, or you’re an expert on electric scooters looking for a new place in the city to ride, here are a few great places to get around town on a Neuron e-Scooter or e-Bike.

Make sure you have the Neuron app downloaded onto your phone and a payment method selected; that way you can just open the app, hop on, and #ExploreLethbridge! For more information on Neuron e-Scooters in Lethbridge and how to get riding, check out our other blog on Neuron e-Scooters

Henderson Lake Park

What’s big, lush with trees, and has water all over? Henderson Lake Park of course! This picturesque park is not just a beautiful stop in the city for those who want to play all day or go for a tranquil walk, it’s also great for Neuron e-Scooters and e-Bikes. Just be aware you can park them inside of the park bounds, but just outside of the park is just fine!

Grab an e-Scooter or e-Bike and make your way around the lake; you can enjoy the scenic views or take a pit stop at one of the many amazing attractions in the area, like the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden and the Bunka Centre with Cloe’s Café. Take a quiet stroll through the garden or enjoy a drink inside the Café before heading back out on your Neuron e-Scooter or e-Bike.

From there, you have endless options! You can head just a few minutes' ride to the delicious Firestone Restaurant located in the Coast Hotel. Or, you can follow the Lakeview Green Strip that runs along Glacier Drive south; from there you can head to either Swirls Ice Cream Shop or the Movie Mill and Soda Mill to grab a refreshing beverage, some cold ice cream, or some delicious freshly popped popcorn to go!

If you want to stay a little closer to the lake, you can always head over to the Lethbridge and District Exhibition, where the Saturday Famers’ Market is hosted as well as many other events throughout the year. If you’re more of a sports fan, you can always catch a game at the Spitz Stadium; just make sure to cheer extra loud for the Lethbridge Bulls

7th Ave/Bike Boulevard

Connecting to Henderson Lake Park next to the Henderson Pool and SLP Skate Park is 7th Ave. south, which is also known by many as Lethbridge’s Bike Boulevard. What better place to test out Neuron e-Bikes, especially since we are the first city to have them! Take a scenic ride from Henderson Lake and enjoy the canopy of trees over the road and the beautiful houses that line it.

From Bike Boulevard, there are a lot of businesses just a block or two off the beaten path! Head on down one avenue from the Bike Boulevard to 6th Ave. south for some delicious local ice cream from Milkman Milk Bar, or head one block up from the Bike Boulevard to 8th Ave. S for a snack and cup of tea at The Jasmine Room. No matter where on the Bike Boulevard you are, there’s something scrumptious just around the corner!

Downtown Lethbridge

Conveniently, the Bike Boulevard connects itself to the downtown core of Lethbridge, which might be the most opportune place in the city to use a Neuron e-Scooter and e-Bike! With so many local businesses, like Cookie Crimes, Sill & Soil, and Analog Books all on Festival Square! and attractions in the area, Neuron is your one-way ticket to experiencing it all in a timely, eco-friendly, and convenient way!

Head into Galt Gardens just across the street from Casa, and enjoy some time in the sun and a splash in the Rotary Centennial Fountain! From there, you can stay put and head to Southern Alberta Art Gallery to view some incredible local art! From there, take a stroll around Festival Square, then shop, eat and enjoy all the local businesses on the square!

If shopping and art aren’t your thing, maybe some hard facts and history are more up your alley! Head to the Galt Museum and Archives to learn about the history and past of our incredible city! Then put that knowledge to the test in the real world with Driftscape Historical Tours brought to you by Tourism Lethbridge!

Learn about the history of our city and how the great coal rush lit the fire that created the Lethbridge we know today.
